19 जुलाई, 2023 को सियाचिन में शहीद हुए कैप्टन अंशुमान सिंह को पिछले दिनों कीर्ति चक्र से सम्मानित किया गया। राष्ट्रपति भवन में आयोजित समारोह में उनकी पत्नी स्मृति और मां मंजू सिंह ने यह सम्मान लिया। इस कार्यक्रम के बाद स्मृति ने बताया कि कैसे उनकी अंशुमान सिंह से मुलाकात हुई और शादी के मात्र पांच महीने बाद ही वह विधवा हो गईं। लेकिन अब शहीद के माता पिता सेना के नियम NOK में बदाब करने की मांग उठा रहे है.
